The best thing to do is to write to us or the named contact person first, telling them which dog you have chosen. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the dog and its placement, of course also on the phone at any time.

We will then have a few questions for you and will first send you a short questionnaire, which you will fill in and return to us. We will be happy to contact you by telephone to clarify details and answer any further questions.
Preliminary check
We are now looking for a person from an animal welfare organisation who lives near you and will come and visit you to carry out a so-called preliminary check. They will simply check whether the circumstances are as you have described them to us.
Protection contract
If the examination and familiarisation process has gone well up to this point, a written protection contract is concluded in which a protection fee is also agreed. The adoption procedure is only finalised once the contract has been signed by the interested parties and the TSV Europa e.V. placement agent and is available to both parties, provided that the nominal fee has also been paid.
Transport
In most cases, the dogs are abroad and we organise their transport to Germany. All Spanish and Portuguese dogs arrive in southern Germany and are picked up by their new families. There are various places of arrival for dogs from Romania, which will be communicated to you by your agent.
Follow-up check
If the dog has been with you for a while, we will also carry out follow-up checks after some time. In between, we are always happy to receive photos of our former protégés, these pictures then end up in our "Found a home" section. Of course, we are always on hand with help and advice, no matter how long the dog has been with you.
All animals are only placed in the EU. We ask for your understanding.

Our dogs are vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and, if they come from Spain, tested for leishmaniasis and neutered when they are one year and older.
Some male dogs are neutered beforehand by the animal shelters - especially smaller males. It is therefore possible that younger male dogs are already neutered when they arrive - but in principle you can only insist on neutering from the age of one year.
Females generally wait until their first heat and are then neutered.
However, if it is possible in the foreign rescue centres or animal shelters, the dogs are always neutered.
This always depends on the hygienic conditions and the availability of a quarantine or infirmary.
Normally, this information is always included with the individual dogs. You are also welcome to enquire with the relevant agents at any time.
The Mediterranean disease check and castration are not carried out on puppies and young dogs, but they should be carried out on the new owner, this is recorded in the handover contract.
More informationn Placement fee & nominal fee
There is a fee of 400 euros for an unneutered dog and 450 euros for a neutered dog.
This fee is broken down as follows:

The placement fee goes to the animal welfare organisation Europa for its numerous activities, e.g. food procurement.

350 Euro protection fee goes to Spain for transport, chip, vaccination, neutering, Mediterranean check, initial medical treatment, worming, etc. for a neutered dog.
In the case of an unneutered dog, 300 euros are sent directly to Spain.
In the case of animals that have been placed in foster homes from abroad, the European Animal Welfare Organisation pays the transport costs in advance and these 100 euros are then payable to the European Animal Welfare Organisation after placement (i.e. a total of 200 euros).
In exceptional cases for dogs over eight years of age and disabled dogs, only a reduced nominal fee is charged.
Here too, however, there is a regulation that a flat-rate transport fee of at least 100 euros must be paid for animals from abroad, which also applies if the dogs come from a foster home in Germany.
Cats Also cats can be adopted.
Here too, a questionnaire is sent to interested parties and a preliminary check is also carried out in any case
All cats are chipped, vaccinated, neutered and tested for FIV and leucosis from 5 to 6 months of age. We charge a nominal fee of 150 euros for a cat.
We charge a nominal fee of 120 euros for unneutered cats.
If there is any money left over, we can use it to co-finance larger projects, buy transport boxes, medicines or other utensils that are important for animal welfare.
Not a cent of this goes towards staff costs, because we all work purely on a voluntary basis and for the benefit of the animals.
