About us – Tierschutzverein Europa e.V.
Since 2006, the members of the Tierschutzverein Europa have been committed to helping suffering animals and spreading the idea of animal welfare. The whole team works exclusively on a voluntary basis, so that all donations go entirely to the animals. We are a seasoned team.
To help abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats, we work closely with our animal welfare partners in Germany and other European countries. We see our most important task in supporting our partner animal shelters in their work where we can. We do this in different ways: we offer financial help, send donations in kind and food, and most importantly, we offer foster homes and find a good home for each of the many rescued animals.

We work with permission according to § 11 Abs. 1 Nr. 5 Tierschutzgesetz (TierSchG), granted by the Landratsamt Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Freiburg. And we only mediate with in-depth consultation, questionnaire and personal pre- and post-control. Most of us have been with the organisation for a long time and bring with them many years of placement experience.
The Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. is recognised as a non-profit association by the tax office. We work with the permission of § 11 Abs. 1 Nr. 5 Tierschutzgesetz (TierSchG).
All dogs are transported according to EU regulations with entry in the European database system Traces (Trade Control and Expert System).
